If You Just Joined

Follow this order before worrying about raids, bosses, or perfect enchants. HeartRiven gets easier once you connect the systems in the right order.

01

Accept the resource pack when Minecraft asks.

02

Run /hr and use it as your main menu hub.

03

Visit /warps so you know where Jobs, Crates, AH, and Enchanter are.

04

Run /jobs and pick up to 3 jobs that match how you already play.

05

Run /rtp to enter the wilderness, then move away from the landing spot.

06

Run /sethome base once you find a safe place.

07

Create or join a faction before building anything serious.

08

Use /f claim to protect chunks before placing valuables.

09

Earn coins through jobs, shop sales, votes, AH, contracts, and events.

10

Use /enchanter, /tinkerer, and /alchemist to build gear over time.

11

Check /gearscore and /dungeon check before attempting higher content.

12

Claim milestone rewards with /progress and event rewards with /event drops.

Core Loop

How Progression Actually Works

HeartRiven is not one plugin. It is a loop. If you only mine, you fall behind in enchants. If you only PvP, you run out of coins. If you ignore DTR, your faction becomes vulnerable.

Explore

Find land, resources, mobs, structures, and risk in the wilderness.

Claim

Protect a base, faction home, farms, storage, and spawners.

Earn

Use jobs, shop, AH, votes, contracts, and events to build coins.

Upgrade

Buy books, use dust, apply scrolls, improve gear score, and level skills.

Fight

Defend DTR, steal hearts, pressure factions, and run PvE content.

Reinvest

Turn rewards into stronger gear, better claims, safer storage, and future runs.

Roadmap

Early, Mid, And Late Game

Use these stages as checkpoints. You can move faster or slower, but skipping fundamentals usually gets expensive.

First hour through first stable base

Early Game

Survive, understand the server, get income started, and stop carrying everything you own.

Do Now

  • Accept the resource pack.
  • Run /jobs and choose Miner, Farmer, Hunter, or a similar starter mix.
  • Run /rtp, travel away, set /sethome base, then claim land.
  • Use /shop and /sellhand for basic income.
  • Buy low-tier enchant books before risking expensive books.
  • Keep your hearts safe and check /pvp status.

Avoid

  • Do not spend all coins gambling high-tier books on weak gear.
  • Do not build an obvious surface base beside the RTP landing area.
  • Do not carry all heart items, keys, scrolls, or rare drops into PvP.
  • Do not fight from your only kit.
You are ready for mid game when you have a claimed base, jobs picked, a coin flow, protected storage, spare food, and a basic enchanted kit.

Faction growth, gear planning, market play, and first PvE gates

Mid Game

Turn random progress into a plan: better claims, better gear, stronger economy, and real dungeon/event readiness.

Do Now

  • Use /fupgrades to turn faction coins into long-term claim and DTR benefits.
  • Use /gearscore item before and after major gear upgrades.
  • Use /tinkerer for bad books and /alchemist for useful combines.
  • Start selling useful books, dust, keys, and supplies through /ah.
  • Level /skills categories that help your chosen path.
  • Run /dungeon check riven_crypts and fix the missing requirements.

Avoid

  • Do not ignore DTR just because your gear is good.
  • Do not overclaim land you cannot defend.
  • Do not list valuable items on AH before checking current prices.
  • Do not treat events like normal inventory gameplay.
You are ready for late game when your faction can defend its land, your economy is repeatable, your gear score is intentional, and you understand event/dungeon reward flow.

Bosses, high-tier enchants, faction pressure, and long-term wealth

Late Game

Optimize, specialize, and compete without wasting rare materials.

Do Now

  • Build separate PvP, PvE, gathering, and backup kits.
  • Use White Scrolls and Holy White Scrolls on items you cannot replace easily.
  • Save Riven Shards for gear modding decisions that match your role.
  • Use Breach Tokens through /event shop after events.
  • Push dungeon readiness tier by tier instead of skipping requirements.
  • Use AH as both a selling floor and a way to buy exact missing pieces.

Avoid

  • Do not apply every rare book just because it is rare.
  • Do not let DTR drop because the faction is bored or careless.
  • Do not use your best kit for unknown fights with no backup plan.
  • Do not confuse cosmetic progression with combat progression.
Late game is not a finish line. It is a loop of better gear, harder content, smarter markets, stronger faction defense, and cleaner risk management.

  • Use /dungeon check to see exactly what requirement is missing.
  • Build PvE damage and survivability, not just PvP gear.

Systems

What Everything Means

Each system has a job. This section explains what it does, how it connects to other systems, which commands matter, and how to avoid wasting progress.

HeartRiven SystemLifesteal Hearts
/hearts/hearts view <player>/hearts withdraw <amount>

Lifesteal Hearts

Hearts are the identity of the SMP. Kills can transfer hearts, heart items can be withdrawn, and the cap prevents infinite snowballing.

Key Facts

  • You start with 10 hearts.
  • The minimum is 1 heart and the maximum is 20 hearts.
  • A valid kill can transfer 1 heart.
  • The same-victim cooldown is 60 minutes.
  • New players have protection time before they should take serious risks.
  • Withdrawing hearts requires leaving at least 5 hearts behind.

Useful Commands

/hearts/hearts view <player>/hearts withdraw <amount>/hearts redeem/hearts top

Smart Play

  • Treat heart items like valuables, not pocket change.
  • Redeem hearts in a safe place.
  • Never bring all heart items into wilderness PvP.
  • If your hearts are low, focus on gear, safety, and smart fights.
HeartRiven SystemFactions, Claims, And DTR
/f create <name>/f invite <player>/f join <faction>

Factions, Claims, And DTR

Factions protect land, create team identity, and add DTR risk. You are not only protecting blocks; you are protecting your faction's ability to stay unraidable.

Key Facts

  • Faction creation costs 500 coins.
  • Maximum faction size is 5 members.
  • Faction names must be 3 to 16 characters.
  • Claims are chunk-based and should stay connected.
  • Keep faction home inside protected land.
  • DTR loss and recovery are affected by faction upgrades.

Useful Commands

/f create <name>/f invite <player>/f join <faction>/f claim/f unclaim/f map/f sethome/f home/dtr/fupgrades

Smart Play

  • Small clean claims beat giant messy claims.
  • Do not put your faction home on the edge of your claim.
  • Use /f map when expanding so you do not leave holes.
  • If DTR is low, stop taking dumb fights and recover.
HeartRiven SystemHomes, Warps, RTP, And Travel
/rtp/sethome <name>/home <name>

Homes, Warps, RTP, And Travel

Travel tools are how you move between spawn, wilderness, faction bases, and player locations. Combat rules can block escape commands during fights.

Key Facts

  • /rtp sends players from spawn into wilderness gameplay.
  • Personal homes help you return to bases and farms.
  • Faction home gives your faction a shared return point.
  • /warps opens the server warp GUI.
  • Combat tag can block teleport commands.
  • /back returns to your previous teleport or death location when allowed.

Useful Commands

/rtp/sethome <name>/home <name>/delhome <name>/homes/warps/tpa <player>/tpahere <player>/tpaccept/tpdecline/back

Smart Play

  • Set a home before mining deep or moving loot.
  • Keep base homes named clearly.
  • Do not rely on teleport commands during combat.
  • Use /tpaccept only when you trust the situation.
HeartRiven SystemJobs And Skills
/jobs/skills/progress

Jobs And Skills

Jobs create steady coin income. Skills create long-term character progression and dungeon readiness. Together they reward normal gameplay.

Key Facts

  • Players can run 3 active jobs by default.
  • Job progress is meant to be modest and steady.
  • Job milestones can give useful enchant materials.
  • AuraSkills levels help unlock dungeons.
  • AuraSkills does not grant permanent hearts on HeartRiven.
  • Combat, mining, farming, fishing, archery, agility, defense, and enchanting all matter for different paths.

Useful Commands

/jobs/skills/progress/rewards/milestones

Smart Play

  • Pick jobs that match your playstyle.
  • Miner/Farmer/Hunter is a strong starter mix.
  • PvE players should watch Combat and overall Aura level.
  • Do not ignore /progress; milestones are meant to help real grinders.
HeartRiven SystemProgression Rewards, Quests, And Seasonal
/progress/rewards/milestones

Progression Rewards, Quests, And Seasonal

HeartRiven rewards steady gameplay through milestones, daily quests, weekly quests, seasonal challenges, and faction objectives.

Key Facts

  • /progress gives one-time milestone rewards for real gameplay.
  • Daily quests rotate and show 5 active choices at a time.
  • Weekly quests are larger goals with stronger rewards.
  • Seasonal challenges are long-form goals for the whole season.
  • Rewards are useful progression items: coins, books, dust, scrolls, shards, tokens, keys, and claim growth.
  • These systems support grinding without replacing jobs, events, dungeons, or AH trading.

Useful Commands

/progress/rewards/milestones/quests/quests weekly/seasonal/objectives

Smart Play

  • Check rewards before starting a long grind so your playtime counts toward something.
  • Do daily quests when they match what you already planned to do.
  • Use weekly and seasonal goals as direction when you feel stuck.
  • Faction objectives are strongest when the whole faction contributes.
HeartRiven SystemCustom Enchants And Gear Score
/enchanter/tinkerer/alchemist

Custom Enchants And Gear Score

Gear is not just vanilla enchants. HeartRiven reads vanilla enchants, AdvancedEnchantments, item material, durability, and equipped slots for Gear Score.

Key Facts

  • Gear Score is a progression rating, not a hidden paid damage boost.
  • Helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, main hand, and offhand are counted.
  • Normal Minecraft enchants count.
  • AdvancedEnchantments count by enchant, level, and rarity.
  • Empty score slots count as 0.
  • Dungeon checks use Gear Score plus skill requirements.

Useful Commands

/enchanter/tinkerer/alchemist/gearscore/gearscore item/gearscore dungeons

Smart Play

  • Upgrade weak armor slots, not only your sword.
  • Tinker bad books into useful dust flow.
  • Use Alchemist for books worth combining.
  • Check /gearscore item before selling or applying rare books.
HeartRiven SystemSpawners And Structure Loot
/ah/ah sell <price>/f claim

Spawners And Structure Loot

Spawner progression comes from wilderness loot, structures, events, and trading. Normal mob spawners are valuable player-earned assets.

Key Facts

  • Mob spawners can be mined with a Silk Touch pickaxe where you are allowed to break blocks.
  • Dropped spawners keep their mob type when placed again.
  • Generated wilderness chests can roll spawners at 2.5%.
  • Ominous Trial Chambers have the highest listed structure chance at 10%.
  • Trial Chambers and Bastions can roll at 7.5%.
  • Normal mob spawners can be traded and listed on AH.

Useful Commands

/ah/ah sell <price>/f claim/f map/trade <player>

Smart Play

  • Claim around spawners before building farms.
  • Do not expose spawner rooms near obvious entrances.
  • Harder structures usually have better spawner chances.
  • Use AH price checks before selling rare hostile or village-type spawners.
HeartRiven SystemRiven Shards And Riven Mods
/rivenmods/event shop/event drops

Riven Shards And Riven Mods

Riven Shards are for gear modding and normal-world progression decisions. Breach Tokens are separate and belong to the event shop.

Key Facts

  • Use /rivenmods to open gear modding.
  • Riven Shards are earned through progression, events, and rare rewards.
  • Breach Tokens are spent in /event shop.
  • Do not confuse shards with event tokens.
  • Gear mods should match your role: PvP, PvE, gathering, or survivability.
  • Save shards until you know what your kit needs.

Useful Commands

/rivenmods/event shop/event drops

Smart Play

  • Do not spend shards just because you have them.
  • Mod gear you plan to keep.
  • If you mainly fight bosses, build differently than a wilderness PvPer.
  • Keep shards safe like scrolls and keys.
HeartRiven SystemVoting, Crates, And Cosmetics
/vote/votegui/votelist

Voting, Crates, And Cosmetics

Voting and non-P2W crates give identity, useful starter rewards, and server growth rewards without selling combat power.

Key Facts

  • Use /vote for the live voting menu.
  • Each vote gives a Vote Crate Key, coins, and food.
  • Voting on all listed sites in one day gives extra rewards.
  • Vote parties reward online players every 25 total votes.
  • Cosmetics, suffixes, and style crates are identity crates.
  • Cosmetic unlocks should not replace earned combat progression.

Useful Commands

/vote/votegui/votelist/voteurl/votetop/cosmetics

Smart Play

  • Vote early in the day so cooldowns line up cleanly.
  • Use vote keys as steady progress, not your only income.
  • Cosmetics are for style; keep gear progression separate.
  • If a vote site says you already voted, wait for that site's cooldown.
HeartRiven SystemDungeons
/dungeons/dungeon info <dungeon>/dungeon check <dungeon>

Dungeons

Dungeons are the long-term PvE ladder. Each tier checks skills and Gear Score so players progress step by step.

Key Facts

  • Riven Crypts requires Aura 5, Combat 3, average GS 120, total GS 700.
  • Bloodroot Caverns requires Aura 15, Combat 10, average GS 250, total GS 1400.
  • Ashen Bastion requires Aura 30, Combat 22, average GS 425, total GS 2400.

  • Heartforge Citadel requires Aura 75, Combat 60, average GS 900, total GS 5000.
  • Dungeon keys are custom ItemsAdder items matching each dungeon.

Useful Commands

/dungeons/dungeon info <dungeon>/dungeon check <dungeon>/dungeon enter <dungeon>

Smart Play

  • Start with Riven Crypts.
  • Use /dungeon check instead of guessing.
  • If average GS is low, replace weak pieces.
  • If total GS is low, fill every equipped slot.
HeartRiven SystemRiven Breach Event
/event join/event leave/event drops

Riven Breach Event

Riven Breach is a 25-round team PvE event. You get temporary event gear, fight waves and bosses, then claim stored rewards afterward.

Key Facts

  • Players join with /event join.
  • Your normal inventory is stored while you are in the event.
  • Event gear is temporary and should not leave the event economy.
  • Boss rounds happen at rounds 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25.
  • Your event kit upgrades after boss rounds.
  • Rewards are claimed later through /event drops.

Useful Commands

/event join/event leave/event drops/event shop/event status

Smart Play

  • Stay with the group.
  • Do not waste time trying to sell or keep event gear.
  • Use /event drops after leaving.
  • Spend Breach Tokens through /event shop.
HeartRiven SystemVoice Chat
/voicechat/discord

Voice Chat

Simple Voice Chat adds proximity voice for nearby players who install the client mod. It is optional, but useful for factions, events, trading, and casual base work.

Key Facts

  • The server plugin is installed, but players still need the client mod.
  • Vanilla Minecraft without the mod cannot use voice chat.
  • Fabric, Forge, Modrinth, CurseForge, Prism, and manual client setups can work if the Simple Voice Chat version matches the client.
  • Lunar users generally need to add the mod manually through Lunar's mods folder workflow.
  • Voice chat is proximity-based, not server-wide Discord voice.
  • Use push-to-talk if voice activation is too noisy.

Useful Commands

/voicechat/discord

Smart Play

  • Restart Minecraft after installing the mod.
  • Check keybinds before an event starts.
  • Test with a nearby player instead of assuming it works from far away.
  • Use Discord for server-wide calls and voice chat for nearby in-game communication.

Gear

Enchanting, Gear Score, And Builds

Strong players do not apply random books to random items. They build kits for a job: PvP, bosses, gathering, faction defense, or selling.

Starter PvP Sword

Vanilla: Sharpness V, Unbreaking III, Mending, Fire Aspect if you like pressure.

Custom: Look for early damage or pressure enchants such as Strike, Epicness, Berserk, Ravenous, or Featherweight.

Do not stack expensive books on a sword you cannot replace.

Boss/PvE Weapon

Vanilla: Sharpness V or Smite V depending on target, Looting III when farming mobs, Unbreaking III, Mending.

Custom: Use enchants that trigger on ATTACK_MOB or SHOOT_MOB. Strike and Forcefield-style damage pressure are useful when tuned for mobs.

PvE gear should be reliable, not only flashy.

Armor Core

Vanilla: Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Mending, Feather Falling IV on boots, Respiration/Aqua Affinity on helmet when needed.

Custom: Reflect, Ward, Molten, Jelly Legs, Wings, Aquatic, and Glowing can matter depending on role.

A balanced armor set usually raises Gear Score better than one overloaded piece.

Bow Kit

Vanilla: Power V, Unbreaking III, Mending or Infinity, Flame if you want pressure.

Custom: Explosive, Strike, and other SHOOT/SHOOT_MOB enchants are the bow direction to watch.

Bow value depends on aim, space, and whether the fight lets you keep distance.

Gathering Tools

Vanilla: Efficiency V, Fortune III or Silk Touch, Unbreaking III, Mending.

Custom: Experience, Hasten, Haste, Smelting, Vein Miner, Telepathy, Harvest, Replanter, and Gemify are strong utility targets.

Keep one Fortune pick and one Silk Touch pick if you can.

If an item matters, check it with /gearscore item, protect it with scrolls when appropriate, and avoid gambling rare books onto gear you cannot replace.

Economy

How Coins Move

The server economy is player-driven. The shop stabilizes basics, AH handles real market value, jobs provide steady income, and events/dungeons feed useful progression materials.

Coins

  • Starting balance is 250 coins.
  • Faction creation costs 500 coins.
  • /pay has a 1% tax and a cooldown.
  • Use /history if your money flow looks wrong.

Server Shop

  • Shop stabilizes basic progression; it is not the endgame market.
  • Buy/sell basics include common building and utility items.
  • Sell-only categories include farm output, mob drops, and common mining output.
  • The shop does not sell direct endgame power.

Auction House

  • AH is the main player-driven market.
  • Use /ah sell <price> for buy-now listings.
  • Bid-style auctions are disabled.
  • Listing tax is 3%, minimum BIN is 25 coins, and the price cap is effectively uncapped.
  • Normal mob spawners are allowed on AH.

Contracts And Bounties

  • Contracts let players escrow coins for item deliveries.
  • Bounties let players put coins on targets.
  • Both systems move coins between players instead of printing free power.

Events, Voting, And Rewards

Useful Rewards Without P2W

Rewards should help active players progress. The important split: Riven Shards feed gear modding, Breach Tokens feed the event shop, and Vote keys feed the vote crate.

Riven Breach Boss Order

  1. Round 5: Rivenhorn Warden
  2. Round 10: Bloodweb Matriarch
  3. Round 15: Ashen Bone Tyrant
  4. Round 20: Celestial Dragon
  5. Round 25: The Fallen Devastator

Voting Rewards

  • Every vote: 1 Vote Crate Key, 250 coins, and 8 cooked beef.
  • First ever vote: +1 extra Vote Crate Key and +500 coins.
  • Voting on all listed sites in one day: +2 extra Vote Crate Keys and +750 coins.
  • Vote party every 25 total votes: online players get 1 Vote Crate Key and 500 coins.

Crates And Unlocks

  • Cosmetics crate: visual identity unlocks.
  • Suffixes crate: chat/tag identity unlocks.
  • Style crate: chat color and name style unlocks.
  • Vote crate: earned by voting.

Riven Mods

  • Riven Edge: Bonus wilderness damage for players who fight in normal gameplay.
  • Riven Guard: Wilderness damage reduction for safer kits and base defense.
  • Riven Harvest: Bonus natural drops for gatherers and economy players.
  • Riven Fury: Bonus PvE damage for mob grinding and boss prep.
  • Riven Lifeline: Emergency healing when low health, with a cooldown.

Spawner Chances

  • 2.5% Generated wilderness chests
  • 10% Ominous Trial Chambers
  • 7.5% Trial Chambers
  • 7.5% Bastions
  • 7% Ancient Cities
  • 6.5% End Cities
  • 5.5% Woodland Mansions
  • 5.5% Nether Fortresses
  • 5% Strongholds
  • 4.5% Temples and treasure
  • 4% Pillager Outposts and shipwrecks

FAQ

Common Questions

Quick answers for the things players usually ask after joining.

What should I do first?

Accept the resource pack, run /hr, choose jobs, RTP to wilderness, set a home, create or join a faction, claim your base, and start earning coins.

Why do I need Gear Score?

Gear Score shows whether your equipped gear is progressing. Dungeon checks use it along with skills, so weak armor, empty offhand, or missing enchants can hold you back.

Are Riven Shards and Breach Tokens the same?

No. Riven Shards are used for Riven Mods and gear progression. Breach Tokens come from Riven Breach and are spent in /event shop.

Can I sell spawners?

Normal mob spawners are allowed on AH. They are rare progression assets and should be priced by players.

Why can I not teleport during combat?

Combat tag rules prevent escape commands from deleting risk. If you are fighting, assume /home, /spawn, /rtp, /tpa, and similar commands may be blocked.

What is the best path?

There is no single best path. Safe starters, faction builders, market players, PvPers, gear crafters, and event grinders all connect into the same progression loop.

Still Lost?

Join the Discord, ask other players what they are grinding, and use the in-game menus. The best HeartRiven players connect systems instead of trying to brute-force one thing forever.
